Update June 2025 Feedback on the Ofsted consultation process has been delayed until September 2025, although Ofsted are still proposing to enact changes from November 2025. But with the report card proposal having drawn a lot of criticism from educators, things could change! In the meantime, we've put together a short guide based on current inspection experience: Getting ready for Ofsted. |
The DfE is carrying out two consultation processes:
Proposed changes include the introduction of report cards for Ofsted, a more transparent inspection toolkit, digital school profiles and the use of Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence (RISE) teams to intervene in school improvement.
Both consultations close on 28 April 2025.
